What this tool does
- One PDF from several JPG or PNG images
- A4, Letter, or a page fitted to each image
- Portrait or landscape with a margin in points
- Images embedded rather than re-rendered twice
- Reads the file signature instead of trusting the file extension.
- Copies real pages. Nothing is rasterized and no page is re-rendered.
- Refuses encrypted PDFs instead of working around the protection.
- Refuses digitally signed PDFs, because saving them again would break the signature.
- Reports the measured size of the file your browser produced.
Questions about JPG to PDF
- In what order will my images appear?
- In the order shown on the page, which starts as the order you selected them in and can be changed with the Up and Down buttons. The order you see is the order sent to the PDF writer.
- What does the margin setting do?
- It reserves empty space around the image on each page, measured in PDF points, where 72 points is one inch. Setting it to zero places the image edge to edge inside the page size you chose.
- What does fitting each page to its image mean?
- Instead of placing the picture onto a fixed A4 or Letter sheet, each page is created at the size of its own image. That avoids empty borders when your images are not a standard paper shape.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. This tool runs inside your browser tab, so the file bytes are read and written on your own device and are never sent to us for processing. Closing the tab discards everything, which is also why results cannot be restored after a reload.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The free tools work without signing in. There is no account system yet, so nothing is stored between visits.
