Check a PDF for mistakes before you sign

Before you sign a contract, quote or invoice, check it for lines where quantity times price is wrong, totals and tax that do not add up, amounts in words that differ from the figure, impossible or out-of-order dates, and fields left blank. The checks run on your device; the document is not uploaded.

The checks run at once and list every problem with its page and line.

  3. 3

Fix it in Edit PDF, or go on to Sign it.

What this tool does

  • Quantity x price, subtotal, tax rate and total checks
  • Amount in words against the figure, in English, Korean, Chinese and Japanese numerals
  • Dates that do not exist, and due or end dates before the start
  • Blank fields: ____, [Client name], TBD, ○○
  • Reads the file signature instead of trusting the file extension.
  • Reads only the text the PDF already contains; the file is not changed.
  • Says how many comparisons it made, and never calls a document correct.

Questions about Check PDF before signing

Is this an AI review of my contract?
No. These are fixed, explainable rules that compare figures and dates the document itself states, the way a careful reader would by hand. They do not judge the meaning or the legal effect of the text.
Does "no problems found" mean the document is correct?
No. It means none of these checks found a contradiction. The result says how many comparisons were made; anything the rules do not cover still needs your own reading.
What happens when I sign a PDF with problems?
Sign PDF runs the same checks first. If it finds a problem, signing waits until you fix the document or tick that you reviewed the problems and want to sign anyway.
Which number formats does it understand?
Amounts like 1,250.00 and 1.250,00, whole-number currencies such as won and yen, percentages, and year-first or month-name dates. Day-first dates such as 03/04/2026 are ambiguous, so they are not judged.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. This tool runs inside your browser tab, so the file bytes are read and written on your own device and are never sent to us for processing. Closing the tab discards everything, which is also why results cannot be restored after a reload.
