What this tool does
- Every sheet, each starting a new page
- Values as Excel displays them, including dates and formatted numbers
- Landscape pages for wide sheets, with columns fitted to the page
- Korean, Japanese, Chinese and Latin text
- Reads the file signature instead of trusting the file extension.
- Reports the measured size of the file your browser produced.
Questions about Excel to PDF
- Are charts and colours included?
- No. The PDF shows the cell values as a table. Charts, cell colours, borders, merged-cell layout and print areas from the workbook are not reproduced.
- What happens to a very wide sheet?
- The page turns to landscape and the columns shrink to fit, with long cells wrapping onto more lines. Nothing is cut off at the page edge.
- Which files work?
- Workbooks saved as .xlsx. Save older .xls files as .xlsx in Excel first.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. This tool runs inside your browser tab, so the file bytes are read and written on your own device and are never sent to us for processing. Closing the tab discards everything, which is also why results cannot be restored after a reload.
